Categories Uncategorized The Second conference on Childhood Care and Development Post author By admin Post date January 29, 2026 Conclusion of the Second Annual Conference on Child Care and Development: Arab and International Working Papers and Workshops The activities of the Second Annual Conference on Child Care and Development concluded on Tuesday under the patronage of Honourcode for Pioneering Educational Training, entitled:“Envisioning the Future of Gifted Children and the Reality of Identifying, Caring for, and Developing Them in the Third Millennium.”The conference was held in the presence of Her Excellency Ms. Enas Al Majed, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the Ministry of Social Development, representing His Excellency the Minister of Social Development. The event witnessed notable attendance from representatives of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, the Women’s Supreme Council, the Child Protection in Cyberspace Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, the National Institution for Human Rights, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, as well as directors of special education centers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the Bahrain Institute for Special Education.On the sidelines of the conference, the Honourcode Award for Future Vision Research in Sustainability and Creativity (1) was announced. Arabian Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain won first place, while Taibah University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia secured second place. Her Excellency Ms. Enas Al Majed honored the winners for their two research papers entitled:“Developing a Tool to Identify Leadership-Gifted Children at the Kindergarten Stage,” and“Developing and Standardizing an Observation Checklist to Measure Creativity Associated with STEM Activities in Early Childhood: A Survey Study in the Saudi Context.”The conference featured nine discussion sessions and 8 workshops, both in English and Arabic, which enriched its themes and contributed to the exchange of expertise and future-oriented perspectives. These included sessions on “Working Together: Supporting Equity and Equal Opportunities for Gifted Children with Disabilities and Twice-Exceptional Learners“, and from Finland, “Innovative Leadership” from Egypt, and “Digital Transformation and Modern Trends in Developing Giftedness and Creativity among Children” from Qatar. The conference has a set of recommendations aimed at guiding mechanisms for identifying gifted children and supporting their care and development.
